Google's chatbot AI, Bard, has received several new features and improvements in its latest updates. These include expanded grammar, more nuanced response controls, and the ability to respond with spoken words in addition to text. Bard can now communicate in nearly 40 different languages.
Users can chat with Bard in languages such as Arabic, Chinese, German, Hindi, and Spanish, and access the platform from various locations around the world, including Brazil and Europe. The team behind Bard aims to incorporate user feedback and protect privacy and data as they continue to expand Bard to more regions and languages.
One notable addition is the option for users to read or listen to Bard's responses. This feature is particularly useful for hearing the correct pronunciation of words in the newly added languages. Users also have more control over the tone of Bard's responses, with five options: simple, long, short, professional, or casual. Currently, these tone options are available only in English, but Google plans to expand them to more than 40 languages soon.
Bard has also gained the ability to interpret images shared in the chat, allowing users to request more information or generate content based on the images. Additionally, users can now import Python code generated by Bard into Replit and Colab for easier collaboration. They can also copy parts of conversations and share them with others. The update includes features for organizing and revisiting old conversations, such as pinned conversations and the ability to rename them.
These updates enhance the functionality and usability of Google's Bard chatbot AI, providing users with more flexibility and options for interacting with the system.
