Facebook is giving its in-app video hub a makeover, bringing Reels' editing tools to all Facebook videos and introducing a new "Explore" section to showcase trending clips and recommendations.
The section, previously known as "Facebook Watch," will now be called "Video." The rebranding reflects Facebook's shift in video strategy, focusing more on short-form clips like Reels and algorithmically-recommended content. The new video tab will have an "Explore" section similar to Instagram's Explore grid, featuring trending videos grouped by hashtag.
Additionally, Facebook is integrating Reels more closely with Instagram, allowing users to cross-post and unify comments between the two platforms. The changes are currently being rolled out to the Facebook app and website.
